“We recently traveled to Australia from the United States for our honeymoon. We visited 3 cities and stayed in 4 different hotels. The Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour was the best of the four hotels we stayed at. They went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special, including a welcome gift upon arrival. The hotel was super clean and all staff were friendly and eager to answer questions and help direct us as needed. The bed was comfortable and room amenities were great. The breakfast was also delicious and included many choices. It was within walking distance to many activities and a train station to get us anywhere else we needed. We would definitely stay here again if we ever go back.”

“I've had take away from here a couple of times when they were in the previous location, and finally I tried dining in the restaurant. I'm not sure how anyone could give this place a bad review, it was probably one of the best overall experiences I've had on the coast. The restaurant was clean, and the new location has a lot more space. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the menu has a lot to choose from. We decided to get something different from our usual butter chicken, so we got lamb rogan Josh, malai kofta, garlic naan and some mixed pickle. The flavours were incredible, and the lamb was tender and fell apart easily. The kofta balls were great too, both curry sauces were rich and thick. The naan was thin but tasty, not thick and bready like some other places. Overall it was a great experience, I'll definitely be back very soon.”

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. The seafood was the freshest and most delicious I've ever tasted. The venue itself is beautiful, with a stunning view that only added to the overall ambiance. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. We opted for the set menu and were blown away by the Kingfish Ceviche, which came with red chilli, Spanish onion, puffed wild rice, miso crema, and crostini. The Fried S.A Calamari with saffron aioli was also a standout. For the main course, I chose the Tiger Prawn Linguine with confit garlic, parsley, and tomato. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the prawns were succulent and flavorful. My dining companion went for the Port Stephen's Market Filet with summer pea purée and salsa verde, and he couldn't stop raving about how tasty and fresh the fish fillet was. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience and highly recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed”

“The staff were lovely and food came out in a timely manner. The guacamole and corn chips were nicely presented and a generous portion. The highlights were the beef, mushroom and aguachille tacos - so soft and full of flavour. The chilli salt rim on the margarita had a nice kick to it. Definitely recommend, especially on Taco Tuesdays ($5/taco).”

“Had a dinner with friends here on Saturday and it did not disappoint. We were all blown away with the food. It was a taste sensation. So many wonderful flavours. We had the banquet $49 pp and more food than 4 good eaters could finish. Very generous amount of food. Honestly every single thing was cooked to perfection and there was so much choice on the menu. The short wait between courses was perfect and wait staff were attentive but not over the top. So pleased to have discovered this local gem and can’t wait to dine there again. 5 Stars”

“One of my best meals in Sydney! SoCal has a very cool atmosphere, very chill and well decorated. Good music. The staff is smart, attentive and friendly. Started off with nice drinks and chips and a very refreshing guac. Would highly recommend the Fish tacos, okra tacos (new on the menu), chicken wings and ceviche for appraisers! The roasted eggplant main is yum, and the short rib was so well cooked the bone came off clean! Churros for dessert was tasty.”

“$12 vege burrito with chips inside as well. A good lunch option . Wait is about 5 mins at lunch time. 3 eat in seats. A small section of South American products for sale as well. Staff friendly. Easy as. I asked for mild sauce, next time I'll go a bit spicier, it was a tad on the bland side, maybe some more seasoning would help. Easy walk down to darling Harbour to enjoy the views with your burrito!”

“This is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants!!! If you ever go please try their chicken San choy Bao and their salt and pepper toothfish. It’s is so delicious full of flavour. The service is great and it’s right across circular quay light rail and train station”

Used to be my favourite restaurant since it opened at the original location opposite to UNSW, 2010? Glad to see those fresh reviews with high rate, and glad to see the happy boss couple. will go to visit Mrs. Ding soon after. Also, you are not allowed to close for a whole month for holiday like before ;) hope the boss couple both have a prosperous business:) Next day, updating post revisit: Tasty and delicious, still; Price, medium high, ordered excess because long time no see, fairly match the quality, the location and presentation. Health, dishes are surprisingly not as oily as traditional way, but still authentic and tasty. Steamed pork belly with preserved veg, tasty, not salty and oily, good quality meat, double or triple cooked, grease are gone magically. Preserved pork stir fried with smoked bamboo shoots: the pork is thinly cut like paper, tasty, not salty; lean, but the fat even more tasty, believe the pork is double cooked, had been steamed before stir fry, no grease too. Preserved pork and sausage, can be cut thinner, otherwise shall be steamed longer. One dish take way, dried tofu stir fried with preserved pork. The photo shows no white grease when just moved out from fridge and box, impressive. One soy sauce fried rice was shared by four, also impressive. after such a big big lunch, skipped dinner, happily found half a kilo lost on next morning :)”

“Delicious Japanese restaurant in the heart of the city. The sushi was absolutely delicious my favourite was the spicy tuna maki - the tuna melted in your mouth and the chilli mayo sauce combined perfectly with the fatty tuna. The eggplant tempura was crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside.”

“I have been here twice for different celebrations this year. It was nice experiencing the slight visual differences yet the same tastebud journey. The staff were friendly and they introduced some dry sake for rice wine beginner like myself. I only got a bit tipsy, so I got to enjoy and remember the flavour and texture of the dishes. “Absolutely beautiful, perfectly clean and awesome hotel. Staff is very friendly and professional. Rooms? Spacious, fabulous view, amazing comfortable huge bed, mini bar, perfect bathroom, I loved the whole design.. Not only rooms but the whole hotel. Really perfect service, breakfast was amazing, big selection of fresh food, delicious! And I'm picky, something good for everyone. Swimming pool - perfect. One of the best hotels with best service I have ever visited around the world. I highly recommend, thank you and I will be happy to come back.”
