Luck Sushi Japanese Restaurant
“Everything was good from the marinated ginger salad, sashimi, tempura to the beef and pork. Quality was a bit above average and service was good. The Japanese lady was very polite. The environment was quiet, good sound-proof store. I couldn’t here the noise from outside, that was the main road and highway. Suitable for small family and couple who enjoy quiet dining experience.”
Sushi Bar Rashai
“Been here a couple of times. First time was great, staff really friendly and food delicious. Tried to give them a tip, they seemed a bit offended but didn't think too much of it. Next time I came, I didn't get the typical irasshaimase that I've come to expect of this place. They also sat me at the toilet table when other tables were free. Overall good experience and would come here over the one down the road that serves things like hummus teriyaki salmon and avocado donut rolls.”
Sushi Hub Wintergarden
“It’s great that it’s open past the usual city lunch hours (after 2pm) and they are still making fresh sushi rolls”
Restaurant Toshiya
“Very tasty and fresh Japanese food with fast and warm service. Sashimi tacos were a great starter, very generously stuffed. Sashimi platter was super fresh, the tuna belly and oysters a highlight. We’ll be back for our pre-movie dinners :)”
Tanshin Sushi Bar
“Literally the best in every way — I come here as often as possible”
Poke Bros. Cabramatta
“We ordered the Korean chicken poke bowl and the premium salmon poke bowl. Both were really delicious and filling, and we especially liked the flavouring in the Korean chicken bowl (with the cream cheese). We also tried their spam musubi which was our favourite. The caramelised sweet sauce, with the salty spam and crunchy seaweed was the best combo!”
La Panchina
“Amazing food. Great little spot next to a park if you have kids, grab a table outside. Outside seating only really comfortably seats 4/5, but worth the squish for how delicious the pizzas are.”
Quay Restaurant
“Amazing environment and views, where we enjoyed one of the best degustation menus that we have tried in Australia. We chose the 8 course meal and I tried the Sommeliers pairing, which was excellent. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable. We were lucky to enjoy a beautiful view of the Opera, with the light and drone show. I really recommend the experience.”
Product Of Italy Gregory Hills
“Our go to pizza joint, we've never had a poor experience here. Food is always amazing and comes in large portions. The atmosphere is brilliant, comfortable lighting and well placed seating, all of which is boosted by the friendly and attentive staff. Always quick service and one of the few restaurants that doesn't ask you how everything is while you have a mouthful. Instead they let you enjoy your meal and check in with you when there's a clear break in-between bites or conversation.”
Monte's
“We love Monte's! The food is delicious and the service is brilliant. My son said their veggie GF/DF pizza is the best he's ever had”
Poppi Tino
“Best experience ever. Food was so good, staff were very friendly and attentive. I never eat desert but it was so good here i had to try. Definitely going back. Thank you so much for a perfect night. So we went back again last night and food was amazing. Our beautiful waitress Shanon was very welcoming and attentive. Definitely the place for revisiting.”
Product of Italy Box Hill
“Authentic Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and helpful. Inside seating is limited but sitting outside was fine in winter with the heaters on. Pizza and pasta were delicious!! Heats of free parking at shopping mall.”
Italian Food Affair
“Great pizza - the sauce makes it and is so delicious! Good garlic bread too - I think I’d eaten half before it even got to the table!! We’ll be back :)”
The Last Slice
“Once you have tasted the pizza at The Last Slice you would not go to any other place. It is the best pizza I have ever tasted. The cheese, toppings are over and above any other pizza in the normal pizza chains or standalone shops. Their garlic prawn and peri peri chicken is one of the best. We also ordered it for one of our get together and the owner Ahmed was kind enough to drop it outside their delivery radius. These days I do not wish to eat pizza from any other place other than The Last Slice Well done guys and please keep up the delicious pizza”
Zappi's Pizzeria Cafe Epping
“Truly amazing pizza. I would say some of the best I’ve ever had in my life! This place is not afraid to take chances and explore creative flavours, but when they do, they do it unbelievably well! All of this is probably possible due to the amazing people that work there. Always kind and helpful; 100% recommend this place!”
Peakhurst Pizzeria
“Always fresh. Always hot. Peakhurst Pizzeria is delicious and I keep coming back. Definitely recommend!”
Amici Ristorante Pizzeria Bar
“Finally found an amazing Italian place with food that is as close to authentic as possible this far from Italy. Mind it's a Southern variation. On place, staff is fast, attentive, helpful and really friendly. Premises are clean. Plenty of seating upstairs. On parking, can be challenging, so come earlier.”
Fratelli's
“This place was buzzing! Food was great, cute lil Italian restaurant... But what impressed me the most was the comradery between/within the team from the kitchen to front of house these guys looked like they genuinely loved working wid each other for this lovely place/business... Staff varied from younger female n male team members all the way to older men n women and they just all got along! No matter how busy they got, there was just a vibe in the place again within/between the staff that only added to the dining experience!”
Borruso's Crows Nest
“Perfect meal tonight. Focaccia with feta was cooked to perfection. Fettucine marinara full of flavour and washed down with a Little Creatures Pale Ale. Hit the spot.”
Oven Lovin Pizzeria
“I had a pepperoni pizza and this was one of the best pizzas I've had. 33 pieces of delicious pepperoni onboard my pizza. The base and dough was perfect and so was the cheese and sauce. The 13" pizza was easily large enough for one person and could easily be shared with two. Service was friendly and it felt like I was walking into someone's kitchen rather than a restaurant. I'd highly recommend it.”
Lucio Pizzeria
“Lucio De Falco, from Naples, Lucio has a long history of working with pizza from a young age and has worked all around Europe before settling in Sydney. He’s now been here over 15 years and owns and runs Lucio Pizzeria in Darlinghurst and Zetland. Lucio has the stamp of approval for producing authentic Napoletana, being the vice president Australasia and member of the AVPN (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana). He also competed at the Campionato Mondiale Della Pizza in Parma Italy, attaining the award for best pizza in Australia and 5th in the world. That said, you know you’re going to be in for a good pizza at Lucio Pizzeria. We arrive at the Darlinghurst location which has been a stalwart in the area for many years. It’s in a lovely courtyard area where tables allow you to dine alfresco with covered sails. The restaurant also has an open kitchen, allowing for you to see the chef in action at the dominating woodfired pizza oven, which certainly makes you salivate for the meal ahead. The menu showcases the traditional and authentic Neapolitan style pizza, pasta, antipasti and desserts, using beautiful fresh produce sourced both locally and from around Australia. There’s a great range of entrees and we enjoyed the lovely Capesante or scallops with pancetta and pumpkin as well as a side salad of Rocket with parmesan, pears and balsamic vinegar called the Rucola, Parmigiano e Pera. You’re able to try their zucchini flowers, calamari fritti or antipasto plates amongst a range of other Italian dishes. Furthermore, we can recommend ordering pasta too. The Orecchiette al Pesto or Orecchiette with pesto Genovese was an outstanding dish. Perfectly cooked pasta with the most beautifully flavoured and textured pesto sauce. We would most definitely order again. But it’s a pizzeria of course, and you can’t leave here without having one of their amazing pizzas. The pizzas have all of your classic and authentic Italian flavours from Margherita, to Diavola to name a few, and our choice, the Capricciosa. This was a beautifully light dough, topped with a delicious mozzarella, mushroom, ham, artichoke and olives. We loved this, and tasted so good straight out of the pizza oven. Although like us, you’re probably full by this stage, you can’t leave without dessert. The traditional Italian tiramisu is just as you hope for. The dessert has all your favourite flavours; the prominent lady fingers, mascarpone, coffee, sugar and cocoa and is so creamy and delicious. In addition, there’s also bombolini, pannacotta and even Nutella pizza. Whilst you dine, why not order a glass of wine or beer with a range of Australian and Italian wines on the menu. Lucio and the staff were so lovely and made every effort to ensure that we were welcomed and well looked after. Overall we had a wonderful experience at Lucio Pizzeria and strongly encourage you to pay a visit.”
Vacanza Pizzeria Surry Hills
“Excellent pizza and sides at a reasonable, for Sydney, price. Good service also. Atmosphere is hampered by shouty diners, if they only could keep it quite Vacanza could be a dream place.”
Sushi Jones
“Yummy Japanese bento at affordable price. We like the gluten free teriyaki chicken bento with lotus chips, salad and the rice. The kid chicken karrage bento is cute with the bear shaped rice.”
Sushi Sankaku (Seaforth)
“Friendly service, great prices. Food was fantastic. Picture is of take away teriyaki chicken.”
Sushi Wow
“Chicken karaage don tastes amazing and is incredibly cheap ($8.8). Great value for money.”
L'Olio La Gnoccheria
“There's a reason they specialise in gnocchi. Each dish was amazing. The flavour balance was spot on and the texture of the gnocchi was perfect, I was able to finish my dish without filling heavy like I normally would with other gnocchi places. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend! I've done both done and and takeaway and the quality is just as good both ways.”
By Sang
“The food was good quality & tasty. A little pricy but still had a great experience. The atmosphere is very nice and great for date night. The service was excellent.”
Sushi Rio
“Best in its price! Sushi is freshly made. The ingredient is at a good level of its price. We went in Thursday night and some of the menu is out for that day but the staff are really nice. They explained to us that if the fish is not fresh, they'll not sell it at all. Will definitely go back again.”
Shonan Japanese Kitchen
“Nice little genuine Japanese restaurant with great food and friendly service. Love their tako wasabi.”
8 at Trinity
“It's actually unbelievable driving down from the M1 that this place, and a place of this quality, even exists. I was genuinely impressed. We were invited as guests of the host - disclaimer- however the fact it was SO busy for Sunday lunch tells me the locals all know and love it regardless. Great quality produce at cheaper than Sydney prices. Awesome cocktail list (three pages) and so much potential to still grow!”
