“This hotel is set in very good location just 2/5 minutes away from the famous gardens and a really good quality single floor shopping village. Staff when booking in are very friendly with a nice coffee seating area and bar with a restaurant/breakfast area. Our disabled room was as we expected and was very spacious and clean . I would highly recommend this hotel if visiting the gardens and need a overnight stay or on route to your holiday destination as we are .”

“Brilliant park to explore and spend the day with friends and family. The footbridge is absolutely beautiful and the coffee shop with sitting area by the river is just a perfect way to unwind and relax. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Good to have great weather to enjoy the many attractions here. Kids enjoyed the playground for hours. We had a picnic by the lovely flower beds. Enough toilets, lots of catering outlets and a brass band to watch with our ice cream. We stayed all day”

“What a wonderful day. May sister and daughter had previously visited several years ago and it was wonderful to see how far the park has developed. We went around to visit all the animals and had such amazing experiences. We were most excited to stroke and feed the wallabies. All the staff we met were helpful, polite and informative.”

“Lovely place for a Potter round :) Great if you have small children , buggies or a wheelchair as the main path round is easy going. Lots and lots of dogs so maybe don't go if you're not a fan of dogs ! Bonus now is the cow shed across the road selling milkshakes via vending machines , cake and coffees. Ice cream van was there last weekend for crazy children like mine who wanted an ice cream in the freezing cold weather :) They also do a nice cuppa tea if you're not a coffee fan. Main path probably only took about 20 mins but you can veer off in to the trees and follow other routes or just wander randomly.”

“Another nice visit to the Dorothy Clive gardens, it never disappoints as there is always something to see. Lovely walks and incredibly peaceful & lots of places to sit and soak up the lovely borders. There is a nice tea room and staff are always friendly.”

“Absolutely beautiful walk around the lake. Stunning, nice and easy for you her children can stop and play in the river and by the dam. Lush. Play area was shut due to covid but its usually really great to play on. And visitors centre is lovely”

“Really lovely place to visit, very nostalgic, had our own carriage the kids loved it. There is a small gift shop and a cafe and toilets worth a visit pre book preferably. They have halloween event coming up and Christmas too.”

“A very Interesting place looking at the heritage of the pottery industry and it's workings. Nice cafe to get a bite to eat and a drink. Also some good bargains in the shop if you are looking for souvenirs or indeed a full dinner set.”

“Fantastic experience! We hired a mega paddle board - 5 of us all on one board. It was so much fun! Our wonderful instructor Joe made the experience all the more perfect - not only did we learn tonnes with his informative coaching, he was funny, charming and a dream to be instructed by. What a guy! If you are thinking of booking, do it, we haven’t laughed that much in ages! And request Joe if you can! 5 stars”

“Summer this lake hustles and bustles, right off the canal so great for walks with family and well behaved furry friends. Reason i say well behaved is because there quiet alot of wild life and there young through spring and summer and ive seen alot of individual's bring dogs down and take them off the leashes and they attacked ducks, geese and swans. Theres a kids park with a ice cream van that pulls up for a few hours, for the adults theres a little cafe which sells a variety of things. Beautiful and scenic, part of a small nature reserve, Peaceful and quiet and well looked after.”

“A little oasis in a busy town, clean grassy verges to set up your picnic! ..a lovely location... next door to the park and a good restaurant. Small car park available at the park...tho plenty of spaces at the main town car park 5 minutes away!”

“We have spent such a lovely time out with the kids here today. Due to the heavy snow from last night we were able to have snow fighting and ride the sleigh. Really worth the 2.5h drive we did to get here.”

“Went to the lights in the woods. Was amazing. So much thought has gone into it. Highly recommend. Lovely fires to roast marshmallows. Hot chocolate and items to buy. So worth a visit”

“Absolutely amazing stay! We went for the Pirate Takeover with our 5yr old son and it was brilliant from start to finish. He loved the Pirate day, there was plenty for him to do and the shows were great. The hotel was just amazing, the room was brilliant (moon voyage room). He loved his little bunk bed area, which was a great idea being slightly separate from the rest of the room. It was very comfortable, the only slight snag is the heater wasn't very good. The hotel itself was beyond belief and way exceeded expectations. The kids entertainment was great and he loved dancing to the show the two pirate girls put on, they were really good and so friendly with him. The staff were all lovely. He loved the pirate ship in the bar. The food was really good. The waterpark was part of the package and was great. The mini golf was really good as well, just very busy. All in all a brilliant stay and my son keeps asking when we're going again!! We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend. Thank you to the hotel staff for making it a brilliant stay for my son.”

“It is very clean the saff are helpfully and you are welcome with a smile. The only thing is that I cannot always get in for aquafit so extra sessions would be welcome.”

“Played mini golf and then football golf here with my two kids. Was a fun outdoor activity in a lovely setting. The guys working there couldn’t be more lovely.”

“Came for a cat show. Could have done with more parking, but venue was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff and a very good cafe again with excellent staff. Our cats enjoyed it too.....but they'd ask that they sort out the PA as it hurt their ears!”

“Took my grandson and his friend. They had a great time and really enjoyed it. The place wasn't too crowded so it was good.”

“Good fun day, we went on an off peak day the queues were not too long although it was noticeably busier between 11:30 & 2. We managed to get on everything at least once and multiple times on our favourites. The wave pool was great and the lifeguards made sure non swimmers stayed out of the deeper water. Food was tasty and a comparable price to other entertainment venues. Some of the decor is a little tired and there was some peeling paint but this did not affect our enjoyment. We will visit again as we all enjoyed it.”

“Good for walking dogs, there’s a large grassed area with benches around it ideal for picnics or kicking a ball about and on the far side there’s a kiddies play park with a slide swings & climbing frames.”
