The USC Upstate ACHIEVE Program, located at 145 North Church Street in Spartanburg, South Carolina, is an educational and employment program aimed at helping high school dropouts and graduates who are unemployed or underemployed between the ages of 16 to 24 from Cherokee, Spartanburg, and Union counties. The program focuses on assisting these individuals in completing their education, finding employment, and boosting their self-esteem to become productive members of society. The ACHIEVE Program, administered by the University of South Carolina Upstate, offers GED preparation, pre-employment training, life skills education, job placement assistance, and transportation to and from the training site. Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants receive individualized and group instruction in various subjects, learn essential job skills, and gain knowledge on important life skills topics.
