Magnolias, located at 185 East Bay Street in Charleston, South Carolina, is a renowned restaurant that has been a staple in the city for over 30 years. Known for igniting a culinary renaissance in the summer of 1990, Magnolias offers upscale Southern cuisine with a modern twist. Led by Culinary Arts Director Donald Drake, the menu features traditional Lowcountry dishes like Fried Green Tomatoes and Shellfish over Grits, as well as modern interpretations such as Lowcountry Bouillabaisse and Parmesan Crusted Market Catch. The building at 185 East Bay Street has a rich history, once serving as Charleston's original Customs House. After being damaged in the earthquake of 1887, the building was purchased by the Parsell Family and transformed into the prestigious dining destination it is today. Magnolias is open for lunch Monday to Saturday, brunch on Sundays, and dinner nightly.
