The centerpiece of this historical site is the Graham-Rouse-Phillips-Williamson House, affectionately known as the House of Eight Gables. Constructed between 1888 and 1890 by John Quincy Graham, this Victorian-style masterpiece boasts over 5,000 square feet of living space, crafted entirely from cypress wood. The house stands as a testament to the architectural elegance of its time, featuring six intricately designed fireplaces and decorative scrollwork milled locally. The expansive porches invite you to step back in time and imagine the stories of the four families who once called this place home. Spanning over 175 acres today, the property was originally part of a vast 3,000-acre tract granted by King George II in 1739.
