“Had a brief stop over in Sheffield and went wandering looking for a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon Howst, What an amazing find. From the moment the door opened you are welcomed in and made to feel at home, the place is nice looking and so friendly. The menu is a modern take on traditional cafe fare with a twist, with the ability to adjust things as needed (one of the first things asked is if you have any allergies) which is a very nice touch. I had the "Andy Hash" but omitted the egg, and its amazing, deep tomato flavour with a hint of pepper tipped with melted cheese and a proper sized hunk of bread on the side. My partner had a veggie breakfast but as she is vegan they altered it as needed and added something to make it not feel like it was missing out. The staff are amazingly attentive and professional, with a wonderfully friendly atmosphere that makes Howst a reason in itself to visit Sheffield, so much so we came back a touch earlier on our return journey just so we could visit again.”

“First time in here lovely staff and service. Manchester doesn't have any like this so it's great for me. Food was bang on and filling too + value for money. I would book as well at weekends as we were advised to do so we only got an hour in. Huge seletion of games too. Fill your boots!”

I had the roast chicken, and my husband had the porky belly. Everything was cooked to perfection, with perfect portion sizes, and the seasoning was just amazing. Thyme Cafe is the perfect destination for comforting food, a relaxed atmosphere, and amazing food. I highly recommend that everyone pays a visit.”

“This is a great place for food and drink. Varied, clearly explained menu. Interesting meat and fish meals with plenty of options for vegans including cakes. Help yourself to water from the dispenser. As it's close to the railway station, I always wait for my train here, great coffee and a comfortable environment if you're on your own. Everything is very clean including the toilets. The staff always make you feel welcome.”

“So nice to go to a book shop, get a book and a coffee and a bite to eat if you want it. My granddaughter calls it the library, and she goes straight to her section, chooses a book sits on the floor, and has a look and keeps looking until she finds what she wants and asks for it.”

“Went for lunch after visiting CEX with the children, had a lovely meal. Staff are dressed smartly and have lovely manners. Excellent music. Good value for money. Very clean and well looked after. Would definitely recommend the Hunters chicken paninni and the roast beef baguette with dipping gravy. The only thing I would recommend is having options for children as the mains they had were too big for them, and we don't like food waste. Other than that a great visit. Will be back again.”

“Always amazing staff and this time was no exception. One staff member went above and beyond and I'm gutted I didn't take his name! Food was nice ...typical sports bar type food, burger, chips etc. Pool tables and big screen are ace. Very little choice on cocktails tho...need to add an aperolspritz to the menu!”
