Water park in Joondalup

“This is a great spot and surprisingly quite unknown to many. It’s not so obvious as your driving past on Joondalup drive. If you have dogs it is worth a visit. It’s safe and spacious, with so much grass to run around on. With the built up areas due to it being an old quarry, you can rest easy that your dog can’t run off too far.”

“Great spot for a swim or to watch the sunset. I took the drone out for a fly to some rocks just over 1km out from shore and I managed to spot a sea lion swimming around. It was very cool. Great spot for families. One negative is the first step to get up from the beach is a rather long way. I saw an elderly man struggling to get back up.”

“Iluka Foreshore Park is a fully accomplished family fun picnic park. Couple of barbeque, under shed dining area, children play area, access to beach, and the lookout. If you want to have a family picnic on or near to the beach, this is an outstanding option.”

“I love Picnic Cove Park. You can walk to Neil Hawkins Park in the north or go South and go to Wanneroo or cross Ocean Reef Road and explore Woodvale. Musk ducks live at Picnic Cove but you don't see them that often. You can however hear their unique call. There are BBQ facilities there. A new BMX track has recently been completed at the park over the road from Picnic Cove. This is a real hit with the small children.”

The City of Joondalup modified fountains at Bramston Park in Burns Beach and Penistone Park in Greenwood. The council is now considering rolling out the retrofit to fountains at other parks. “The City takes a proactive approach to trialling any new product that may have positive outcomes for our community and an opportunity was presented to retrofit drinking fountains at two of the City’s most popular family-friendly parks,” Mayor Albert Jacob said.”

“Before choosing a daycare for my 12 month old son I visited lots of centers in the area and as soon as I walked into Mercy Care I knew that would be the one he'd go to. The center has such a warm and homely feel, I love that it is on the smaller scale as it means the staff really get to know the kids and the families and vice versa. The staff are a little bit more mature than other centers I visited and this was a big positive to me. It is clear that the staff really care about what they do and love the children in their care. 12 months on and we've never looked back, my son is so happy at Mercy Care and has come on leaps and bounds in his development.”

“Little hidden gem in central Joondalup. Risq have nailed the design so that you can drink in a classy establishment, but without the stuffy, pretentious vibes you can get sometimes. Staff/owners are friendly, drink selection covers most tastes and the music selection (motown, soul, R&B) makes this a great place to enjoy a beverage or 8”

“It was in a great position ,near the beautiful beach and lovely restaurant near the house ,we were upgraded to the en-suite room ,which was absolutely amazing, plenty choice with the Breakfast, it felt like a home from home experience to myself and husband. We certainly will be back ,and can’t recommend it enough, easy transport to Perth . We can’t praise the host Karen enough. “It's a good place to spend time with family. Well exhibited underwater tunnels to see the fish clearly. Get to use the glass boat service. Seeing the fish from another angle There is an interesting diving service, but I haven't tried it yet. The kids had alot of fun and enjoyed visiting the aquarium”

“Oh wow when my meal was brought out to me I was blown away by it's presentation. The Camembert cheese was so tasty and and drizzled in honey. The focaccia was so crunchy. I enjoyed the meal so much. The Tavern wasn't noisy and we could talk without shouting. My friend had Chicken parmigiana and she really enjoyed her meal. The atmosphere was wonderful.”

“Great for all ages. (I mean children in all ages but I even saw some playing adults too!) You pay for 2 hours and kids will jump around for the whole time. All the equipments are inflatable ones that let the kids bounce all the way like crazy!”
