That and without hyperbole, the coffee was one of the best I’ve ever had - just a straightforward flat white but it was well-balanced and spot on. I already want another one. If I lived nearby, this would be my go-to place.”

“Very delicious food, cooked to perfection. Staff are friendly and quick to assist, atmosphere is calm with some nice light music in the background. Toilet facilities are separate as part of the shopping Center and not the restaurant. Highly recommend for decently priced food, that tastes exquisite. Will be coming again!”

“Edit. Updated review: Recently revisited Cafe Nocello. Food was just as delicious. Was disappointing that the mussels were not available by themselves. Ambiance was great. Unfortunately the wait time was over an hour and our appetisers/mains were not timed well. Though this was obviously caused by being short staffed due to covid. Nothing that could have been helped. We were prepared this time and brought our own wine. The staff were amazing and also handled themselves beautifully when a belligerent and derelict drunk man tried to barge and in cause a stir. Original review: Firstly - did not know it was solely byo. However, the Virginia mojitos were DELICIOUS. Bought the sparkling water and topped them up as we ate & they were still delicious. Arrived at the end of service however the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. The food was served deliciously fresh and very quickly. All the seafood in the risotto marinara was cooked to perfection. Absolutely amazing. Sincere compliments to the chef!!!!! The ravioli seemed as if it was fresh made-to-order & not pre-made/frozen. Prices were good, especially given serving sizes.”

“Such a great spot for lunch and the most Incredible service!! I came for lunch with my friend today and the girl serving on till/the one who delivered our food were soo lovely to me and my friend. I ordered a iced long black and poached eggs on toast and the eggs and toast where made to perfection and so was the coffee we had such a great time and despite talking for way longer then it took to order our food at lunch time we where not made to feel rushed out I’ll definitely be back again :)”

“Well set-up space with all you need to bust through a productive day of work. Fast WIFI on a 100/100 connection. Plenty of power on each table. Well located near the middle of town with tons of food, drink and shopping nearby and half a block to buses and trains. Coordinator Jason met me and showed me around which takes the guesswork out of a bit of a heritage-building-maze. As a lucky bonus they currently offer a first day free intro - I'll pay them next time I'm in Freo'”

I brought my friends from Melbourne (and we all know they think their coffee is the best) and they walked out saying ‘that’s probably the best coffee I’ve had’. Big shout from those lads. Leaf Bean is a true asset to the area, great food, great people working behind the counter, and most importantly well balanced, well extracted espresso. “We couldn’t book into our usual Italian restaurant so we opted for a new place! Portorosa, and we found ourselves absolutely delighted, not just by the food, but also the wonderful service and atmosphere of the restaurant. We will definitely be back. Surprisingly not too crowded, maybe because of the long weekend? But we had a table of eight. The food came promptly, and the staff were attentive. Serving sizes were prob smaller than what you would get elswhere, but honestly, the quality was amazing, fresh, aldante, and just right, kind of leaving you a little wanting more , but just right for the tummy. The price was very fair for the quality and serving size. We loved that all employees in the restaurant were Italian, which added to the family atmosphere. Our family all had our different favourites as we ordered different dishes but to share. The desserts are what topped it. We chose the Panna Cotta, Creme brulee & dumplings to share. The lovely waitress recommended the dumplings (little doughnutty pieces the size of gnocci, covered in icing sugar and dipped in nutella or maple syrup).
