You can eat in the restaurant and watch your kids from the table. The owner is such a genuinely lovely person. Support this business! Will be back.”

“Bivouac is one of my favourite places to eat out for dinner, date night or drinks. They do the best espresso martini I’ve found so far - butter espresso is a MUST try! The food is always creative, local & seasonal flavors & cooked to perfection. Atmosphere can be noisy at times but over all; it’s still my top pick for places to go out to have dinner! Yum!”

“This place is a winner. The food was tasty and authentic. We were a table of 8 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. The proprietor looked after us with some good recommendations and stories. My friend with a Lebanese heritage said, ‘The kebbeh reminds me of my grandmother’. I think we’ll be regulars here. Gonna come again for sure.”

“We couldn’t book into our usual Italian restaurant so we opted for a new place! Portorosa, and we found ourselves absolutely delighted, not just by the food, but also the wonderful service and atmosphere of the restaurant. We will definitely be back. Surprisingly not too crowded, maybe because of the long weekend? But we had a table of eight. The food came promptly, and the staff were attentive. Serving sizes were prob smaller than what you would get elswhere, but honestly, the quality was amazing, fresh, aldante, and just right, kind of leaving you a little wanting more , but just right for the tummy. The price was very fair for the quality and serving size. We loved that all employees in the restaurant were Italian, which added to the family atmosphere. Our family all had our different favourites as we ordered different dishes but to share. The desserts are what topped it. We chose the Panna Cotta, Creme brulee & dumplings to share. The lovely waitress recommended the dumplings (little doughnutty pieces the size of gnocci, covered in icing sugar and dipped in nutella or maple syrup). We had never heard of it before but were so glad it was recommended. We could not fault the restaurant. We look forward to coming back . Thank you Portorosa Spearwood!”

“We try to have takeout on a regular basis. Kebabs and burgers have been hard for me to eat after an operation on my jaw left me only being able to open about 1-2cm, over time my jaw has been stretched where tonight was the first time I have been able to wrap my mouth around a kebab. Wow Brabham delivered on so many levels, the Turkish bread wrap was so fresh soft and tasty, the chicken cooked to perfection and with fresh salad ingredients including egg and cheese I was very satisfied. We have eaten there before and I had the meat plate due to my jaw and that was excellent too. The service was fast and friendly. Thank you to Brabham Kebab and Turkish bread shop for delivering a great kebab. Sorry no photos as a kebab is a kebab to look at. Enjoy!”

We discovered the Flat Bread last year in Woolworths and have been using them ever since and have just tried the Pockets today for the first time. “I visited yesterday. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The workers were very friendly and accommodating, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. One of the highlights of my visit was definitely the bread. It was freshly made and had the perfect texture and flavor. I couldn't get enough of it! As for the other dishes, they were also delicious and well-presented. Overall, Turkish Kitchen is a great spot to try out some authentic Turkish cuisine. This experience was courtesy of the Eat Club. There's plenty of seating indoors and out. Perfect for sunny winter afternoon coffee and delight. Inside is a warm atmosphere filled with exquisite items that take you to northern Africa. Both the Mediterranean Platter and Seafood Paella were well flavoured, mildly spiced. Though, the creme de la creme were the cakes. The chef restrains the sugar in the baklava, so you have a better flavour from the pistachios and honey. It's worth a return visit. The cakes were light, fluffy, and delicious. Even though it's small, the best was the Turkish Delight. Chewy with a lovely floral taste and fragrance, and not too dense.”

Edit 6 March 2023 The owner has always been good to me so I hate doing this but the quality and customer service hasn't been there for the past few visits. They got my order wrong and overcooked the fish and chips. I should have returned it but we were hungry. It's not cheap take away so it's disappointing.”

“I've been waiting to try this place since you opened as i live a walkable distance to a kebab house but don't enjoy their food. I uberd a chicken kebab and salami pide and was impressed. The chicken was good quality meat unlike the usual dry, thin, old chicken most places use, the kebab had a fair amount of meat, the salad and turkish bread was fresh and tasty. The non greasy pide was good, again it had a decent amount of meat and cheese ratio, the cheese used was very tasty and so was the pide dough. I'd probably say this is one of the best kebab places within a 15km radius, keep the quality up, and I'll definitely be a regular customer.”
