Impala Fountain, also known as the Herbert C. Morris Memorial Fountain, is a stunning tourist attraction located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Initiated by Mrs. Herbert Morris and the Fairmount Park Art Association, this fountain was built in 1962-1963 to honor the memory of Herbert C. Morris, a former officer and director of the Zoological Society of Philadelphia. The fountain features twelve life-size impala antelopes leaping over ten jets of water in an oval-shaped pool. The graceful arcs of the impalas in flight capture the animals' lightness and agility, with a mother and calf grazing nearby, unaware of the alarm that caused the rest of the herd to bolt.
