"I came here to get a Brazilian blowout before a wedding. This was a birthday gift to me, I had never had a blowout before. When I initially called to make the appointment, I asked for an idea about how much I should expect for it to cost, price wise. I was told between two hundred and 300 hundred dollars, depending on how long your hair was. I made an appointment with Adriana. I was offered coffee, water, or a bagel while waiting. It was a three floor salon. The first floor is where the receptionist is, as well as products. The second floor was the hair styling area. The third floor is where they do nails. I asked before we started how much it was going to be. I was told her blowouts start at three hundred, and this was a real surprise to me. When I told the stylist this is not what I was told before booking, she said we could reschedule me with someone else, or see if someone else was available to do it. I still didn't get a definite number. The older gentleman doing a blowout next to us said, I think she wants a concrete number. He was really nice and was actually the owner. He was doing a blowout on a short, red headed lawyer. He said if I didn't like it he would pay for it. So, they begin by washing your hair three times. Then they put chemicals in it. Then they wash it again. Then they blow dryer your hair and straighten it. It looked really nice. I did get mixed messages about how long it would last. The stylist told me it would last up to six months. The receptionist and owner said it lasts about three months. After we were done, I was charged three hundred twenty dollars. I was also told I should buy a bonding spray for blowouts for thirty dollars and I was shown fifty-six dollar sulfate free shampoo. I was told I needed sulfate free to help retain the blow out results. I got sulfate free shampoo by nexus somewhere else for sixteen dollars. There, you put the stylist tip in an envelope and put it in the stylist mailbox. I liked the way my hair looked. It has been six weeks, and my blowout hasn't washed out yet. However, this was much too expensive for me and if I hadn't received it as a gift, I probably would have never done it. I also didn't like been told two different prices and two different amounts of time it would last. The owner was very nice. It's very clean and nice there."
