This trail system connects various communities such as Wilkes-Barre, Hanover Township, Plymouth, Edwardsville, Kingston, Wyoming, and Forty Fort. The trail is well-marked with historical information plaques and mile markers, making it popular among runners, walkers, and bicyclists. The trail features designated bike lanes and connects to other trail systems such as the Back Mountain Trail, with plans for future connections to the D&L Trail and the Susquehanna Warrior Trail. There are multiple access points with dedicated parking available at various locations along the trail.
