Originally built in 1744 by Abraham Evans, the current structure was erected in 1835 by John and Elisa Keefe. The mill was later owned by Henry Mumbower, who ran it until his passing in 1892. Thanks to the efforts of Wissahickon Trails and generous donations, the mill was restored in 1987 and now hosts monthly open houses for the public to witness the grinding of corn into flour using the power of falling water.
