450 Green Apartments

"My family and I have lived here for 16 years and I just can't say enough nice things about our community and staff here at 450 Green. Jeff, the leasing manager, and his staff are kind and professional and a pleasure to work with. I've always felt heard and respected when I call them. Curtis, the maintenance supervisor, and his staff are a god-send and respond very promptly with maintenance concerns. They are efficient and friendly. They absolutely rock! The grounds keepers are out there everyday making sure our community is clean safe and tidy. We love it here!"

"Please don't move here. My rent has increased by $400 is 2 years. It's not safe. My hallway smells like weed. I find trash and blunt wrappers in the entrance way and the door is always broken. I have had at least 3 packages stolen. People just walk in and take them. The breakin's this year have been horrible. Mice and roaches. They don't respond to calls or emails about repairs. Also, they can not say that I have not spoken with them directly. When you go to the office they still look you dead in the face and don't follow up. L&I has been contacted but nothing has happened.My first 2 months here, I had to get the refrigerator replaced. The heat went out in the building during last year's winter storm. They wanted the tenants to pay for hotel stay. There were older people that could not afford to leave and then didn't they didn't offer to put them up for the weekend. When they are doing renovation there is no notice. The hallway was filled with fumes and people complaining that they felt sick. This place is a slum. Pretty on the outside but slum lords. I feel for anyone who is not aware of what it is like. If you come for a visit. Trust me, walk around and talk to few tenants. Because they will only show you a unit in the A building. I never write reviews but in this case don't be fooled. You will see mysterious charges on your rent. You will find out that your utilities are pro rated i.e. your paying for other tenants utilities. My last straw was people fighting in the hallway. I'm not disgruntled and I know marketing and this is a lie. I'm moving as soon as I can.Last thing, you never have hot water. I went away for the weekend and when I came home there was a dead baby mouse in my bath tub. Read through the review, you will see a pattern with the same complaints Rodents, Bugs, Heat, Hot Water, Security Issues, and No Response to communicate. Maintenance is just overwhelmed and they try there best. I have am not complaining about them. They are the nicest people."

"Curtis is always prompt and make sure my issues are resolved. I’ve lived at this complex for years now so his always understanding of the fact that my dog doesn’t do well in the crate(his a little guy who is less than 10 lbs), so he always careful to not let him out accidentally. I’ve known him long enough at this point that he feels like family. Never concerned with him entering my apartment without me being there, always respectful and very trustworthy. I see other people have posted about car break ins, etc. I myself have experienced this issue once or twice, but previous apartment managers have always been responsive in addressing safety concerns. Again, I’ve been resident with this complex for well over 5 years, and in my experience they treat residents who they know are responsible and good tenants with respect and value them. In regards to break ins, unfortunately it’s Norristown so it can’t always be prevented. However since I work late hours, I have seen an increased police presence in the parking lots at night. My only suggestion would be for the complex to be more communicative when safety issues arise. Past managers have sent out emails when issues have come up, and I feel it has helped safety issues greatly. All in all, I have no complaints. I’ve always had a great relationship with the office, and maintenance team."

"To whom it may concern,IN ALL CAPS PLEASE I MEAN PRETTY PLEASE DON'T MOVE TO THE NORRISTOWN LOCATION 450 FORREST AVE JUST A FEW Things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

"Awesome maintenance men. Friendly, quick response, respectful, clean, very efficient. Love those guys. I had Chima and Curtis respond same day, fix 2 problems and be done in less than 10 minutes. They reattached my screen door and replaced the handle on the glass door. You guys rock. Keep up the awesome work. Love and blessings."
