The Beury Building
The Beury Building, located at 3701 North Broad Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been transformed into the Hotel Beury, a full-service hotel with 172 guest rooms, a ground-floor restaurant, a rooftop bar and terrace, a fitness center, and meeting spaces. Originally completed in 1933 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Beury Building has a rich history as the former National Bank of North Philadelphia. Designed in the Art Deco style by architect William Harold Lee, it is the only building of its kind outside of downtown Philadelphia. After years of disinvestment, the Beury Building became known for its graffiti art by notable artists Boner and Forever, earning it the nickname "Boner Forever building." Now, the transformation into the Hotel Beury aims to revitalize the building while preserving its architectural heritage. The hotel is a key component of the redevelopment of the North Broad Street Corridor and will support visitors to nearby institutions like Temple University and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
