The Performing Arts Alliance is a dynamic institution located at 22 Pine Avenue in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. We are dedicated to promoting and supporting the performing arts in our community and beyond. Our mission is to provide a platform for artists of all disciplines to showcase their talents, as well as offering a wide range of educational programs and workshops for aspiring performers. The Lehighton Boys and Girls Band, located at 197 South 6th Street in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, has been a staple in the community for over 100 years. Offering instrumental music lessons for students in Grades 4 – 12, the band serves not only Lehighton but also the surrounding regions including Jim Thorpe, Palmerton, and Tamaqua. Originally known as The Engine Co. #2 Boys Band in 1910, the band evolved into the Lehighton Boys Band in 1911 before eventually becoming the Lehighton Boys and Girls Band in 1981 when girls were allowed to join. The band is operated by a nine-member Board of Directors elected from the community and membership.
