General Wayne Statue
The General Wayne Statue is a tourist attraction located at 8500 South Outer Line Drive in Wayne, Pennsylvania, United States. This monument is dedicated to Brigadier General Anthony Wayne, featuring a bronze statue of him on horseback atop a pink granite base. The statue highlights Wayne's important role in the military, with plaques detailing his various positions and achievements throughout his lifetime. The monument was the first constructed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at Valley Forge, with funding from the state legislature and oversight from the Wayne Monument Commission. Renowned sculptor Henry K. Bush-Brown created the statue, which was duplicated from the Anthony Wayne monument at Stony Brook. The dedication ceremony included music, prayer, and speeches praising Wayne's bravery and leadership during the Revolutionary War. Wayne's former home, Waynesborough, is also a historic site in Chester County. Additionally, a statue of Wayne can be found at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Smith Memorial Arch

Commissioned by the Fairmount Park Art Association, the memorial was initiated by Richard Smith, a wealthy Philadelphian who bequeathed a half million dollars for its construction. Designed by architect James H. Windrim and featuring sculptures by various artists, the memorial pays tribute to Pennsylvania's naval and military heroes of the Civil War. The memorial consists of nine busts, three figures, and two equestrians, created by renowned artists such as Charles Grafly, Alexander Stirling Calder, and Daniel Chester French. Despite facing delays and challenges during its construction, the Smith Memorial Arch was finally completed in 1912 and stands as a grand gateway to Fairmount Park.
