As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we are proud to be a cornerstone of cultural preservation and education in Bucks County. Nestled within the historic 1877-built African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church, our museum is a testament to the rich heritage of Yardley Borough's Historic District. Owned and operated by an African American woman, Gather Place Museum is dedicated to unveiling the often-overlooked narratives of Yardley Borough, Bucks County, and the Quaker founders of Pennsylvania, with a special focus on African American and Women's history. Since our opening on September 10, 2022, we have transformed into a living history museum, offering a diverse array of exhibits, documents, photographs, documentaries, and interactive history lessons.
