"Set up an appointment online through UPMC app. Called to confirm the appointment a few days later for my husband and myself and sat on hold for 7 minutes. Another person got on the phone and said the Dr is not accepting new patients when the UPMC app clearly states that he is and takes my insurance. I contacted UPMC and they stated the same. Pretty prejudice if you ask me because I'm sure they're basing it off of a missed appointment from another UPMC provider and there was good reason for it but since the systems are all linked they can pick and choose who they want to see based off of different reasons which is not what their insurance contracts state that they can do. Doesn't sound like a caring practice or provider to me."

"So I have been with this practice for several years but haven’t visited because of a delay/issue with my health insurance (I have Medicaid). Anyways, I finally set up an appointment after a couple years of not going, due to those issues, but I accidentally missed it. I’m aware I should have put it in my calendar and been to the appointment so that is my fault completely. This stuff happens like all the time, right? People miss appointments. So I called to apologize and reschedule, but they told me I’m not allowed to reschedule there ever again and I need to find a new doctor. When I asked why, the person I spoke with on the phone gave me no reason other than that I missed my appointment. I have never heard of anything like that in my life and on top of that, this person was so rude about it. Might I add, I was never told about this policy nor did they explain that was a policy of this practice when telling me I am no longer welcome. If that would’ve been explained and maybe they would’ve have expressed a small amount of empathy for someone who is unaware of this policy, I would be more understanding. I am disgusted by the behavior of the people who work for this practice and feel so disrespected. It’s a blessing in disguise to not be allowed to go back to this practice after being treated like that. If you want to be treated with respect, don’t go to this practice. It doesn’t surprise me that the reviews on here have one star."

"Had the option for zero stars been made possible, that would have been my selection. Had one appointment with this "doctor" for serious health concerns relating to the heart and nervous system. He ruled it as anxiety and prescribed me an antihistamine. I explained that I would be seeking the opinion of an infectious disease doctor who he, in turn, bad mouthed the reputation of. About a week later, I recieved a letter from his office, discharging me from his practice due to not adhering to his medical plan for me. Showed very little empathy. Office staff act as though they're uneducated and bothered by you and show this in a very unprofessional and and rude manner. AVOID THIS PRACTICE at all costs if you value your health."
