Stephen A. Mendelson, MD, is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon based in Pittsburgh, PA, operating out of UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Located at 4401 Penn Ave, Dr. Mendelson serves as the director of Pediatric Orthopaedic Trauma in the Benedum Trauma Center, program director for the Pediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship Program, and vice chief of the Division of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also an assistant professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Mendelson's educational background includes a degree from the University of Pittsburgh and attendance at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general orthopaedic surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and pursued a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic and spinal deformity at Children's Hospital of Washington with the University of Washington Medical School.
