"Dr Mendleson has performed a few surgeries on our two daughters that have osteochondromas. (Bone spurs) He has done an incredible job and the girls have healed wonderfully. My one daughters legs are evenly straight now and she can walk normal. The spur he removed was larger than a golf ball and in a very tough spot. Thank you Dr Mendleson is not enough for the gratefulness we feel!!"

"I read quite a few negative reviews about him on the Children’s Hospital website and I should have read them before taking my daughter to see that particular doctor. He took us late. He got us in the door and out within 5 minutes. He didn’t care about me telling him about my daughters back because she had a pars defect in her L5 which is a fracture. He was not a help in any way. We have a second opinion appointment coming up. He didn’t offer any good advice. He didn’t seem to care. There are similar bad experiences I read in the reviews and I will never take her back to him."

"I can't thank Dr Mendelson enough! He was the Angel my daughter needed at the time to put her femur joint back together again after a high impact tractor trailer/vehicle highway accident. She was his first patient at Northside Children's hospital in Youngstown Ohio. We followed him to Pittsburgh. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mendelson. "I found Dr. Mendelson through my own research. I read quite a few reviews and went in not knowing what to expect because of the reviews. He was AMAZING! He really cared, he listened to our concerns and he spoke to us in terms we understood. We went to him for a second opinion, we chose to stick with him for our daughters scoliosis surgery."

"We waited quite a while to be seen by Mendelson. When he finally walked in no introduction and no apology for making us wait an absurd amount of time. After reviewing my son's back, he advised having an MRI. We took his advice, and waited over 8 days for the test results ( tech said we'd hear back in 2-3 days). By day 7, I called and his office refused to provide the results over the phone, and demanded we make an appointment to discuss the results.That contrary is NOT what his office said would happen or what the technician conveyed. Mendelson is rude, and his staff are ill informed. Choose another doctor ASAP. I switched immediately."
