Promised Land State Park Beechwood Camping Area
Promised Land State Park Beechwood Camping Area is located in Greentown, Pennsylvania, United States. Nestled within evergreens and adjacent to Lower Lake, the Bear Wallow Cabin Colony offers 12 rustic rental cabins constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Linens are not provided, and dogs are permitted in select cabins. The Whittaker Cabin sleeps eight guests and is ADA accessible. The campground offers modern facilities, including flush toilets, warm showers, and electric hook-ups. There are six camping areas ranging from rustic to full hookup. Beechwood Campground is open from early April through mid-October and offers 106 campsites, some of which allow pets. Hemlock Hill Equestrian Campground has six individual sites and is open early May through mid-October. Pickerel Point Campground on a peninsula on the southern side of Promised Land Lake offers 75 campsites and three camping cottages. Deerfield Campground, tucked into the trees and rocks, is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend and offers 34 campsites with flush toilets. Pines Campground at the northwestern end of Promised Land Lake offers 58 rustic campsites without electricity. The campground host site has amenities including 30- or 50-amp electric service. The campground is ADA accessible, and there are maps available for each campground area.
