Fahy Commons
Fahy Commons is a cutting-edge academic building located at 2400 West Chew Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania. As Muhlenberg College's newest addition, Fahy Commons offers 20,000 square feet of programming, art studio, and academic space. This innovative structure is not only LEED Platinum certified but is also on track to become the first Living Building Challenge Core-certified building in the world. The college is hosting an information session and guided tour on January 10 to showcase the sustainable design and building practices of Fahy Commons. The building has already received three major sustainability and green-building awards and certifications, and has garnered attention from the local media.
Muhlenberg College EMS
Muhlenberg College EMS, located at 2400 West Chew Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is a student-run, volunteer emergency medical service organization serving the campus community of approximately 2400 students. Our team of 24 certified EMTs and 12 training corps members operate 24 hours a day, providing quick response Basic Life Support services. As a Pennsylvania Department of Health certified Quick Response Service, we are equipped to stabilize patients and prepare them for transport to a hospital if necessary. In addition to our emergency response services, MCEMS offers free CPR classes on campus, led by American Heart Association certified instructors. Students can also become certified Emergency Medical Technicians and join our training corps. We partner with PHAM to bring free CPR classes to the Muhlenberg community.
