Located at 2713-17 Kensington Avenue, Tusculum Square is more than just a park; it is a testament to community collaboration and transformation. Once a neglected vacant lot plagued by litter and illegal dumping, this space has been revitalized into a thriving community hub, thanks to the dedicated efforts of NKCDC, Shift Capital, Hinge Collective, PennDesign, PennPraxis, and the supportive neighbors of Tusculum Street. Our journey began with engaging the local community and Penn students to reimagine the potential of this site. Through a healing-centered approach, supported by a grant from the Knight Foundation, we transformed Tusculum Square into a welcoming space for all Kensington residents.
