Born and raised in Oceanside, New York, Dr. Stokar pursued his passion for medicine by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from SUNY Buffalo. He then went on to graduate from the Chicago Medical School, now known as Rosalind Franklin University, where he received his M.D. degree in 1981.
