"This is a lovely 2 mile hike through varied habitats - through a hemlock forest, along a creek, through hardwood glens, into meadows and along the lake shoreline. Times spent sitting on the observation deck looing out over the pond and being in the woods were serene and magical. The trails are not difficult, but don't expect totally flat, smooth surfaces - there are some roots and rocks, unevenness and boardwalks to traverse. In spring and summer there's an amazing variety of birds and using the Merlin app helped to identify many of them. Morning and evening walks there have been very special times."
