Barbey Maritime Center
β OpenThe Barbey Maritime Center is a museum located at 2042 Marine Drive in Astoria, Oregon, United States. This institution celebrates the maritime history and heritage of the region, offering visitors a chance to explore diverse maritime stories at various reading levels. Every April, the center celebrates Military Child Month with special activities and events for families. On Sunday, April 14th, visitors can enjoy extra special fun at the museum, with activities included with museum admission. Members are free, and on this date, youth in military families are also free. Active duty military always receive free admission. One of the upcoming lab topics is Engineering Personal Flotation Devices, with a capacity of 25 people for each offering on a first come, first served basis. Visitors can also participate in a self-guided exploration of the museum, following clues to receive a prize upon completion. The Barbey Maritime Center also has community links and ongoing capital projects for campus transformation.
