Owen Rose Garden, located at 300 North Jefferson Street in Eugene, Oregon, is a picturesque park and tourist attraction situated next to the Willamette River near the Washington Jefferson Street bridge. Originally donated by former Eugene city councilor George E. Owen in 1951, the park now spans over eight acres and is home to a stunning collection of over 4,500 roses of more than 400 varieties. The garden was established with an initial donation of 750 rose bushes by the Eugene Rose Society, and has since been maintained and expanded by dedicated volunteers, including the Delta Rotary who led a major renovation project from 1999 to 2004.
