Tradewinds Motel Rockaway Beach

"My husband and I just spent 10 days here. We LOVE the Tradewinds Motel, the owners, and staff. They all work so hard to ensure that you will have a wonderful time. There is so much work that goes on behind the scenes here. Taking care of any place that is directly on the beach is a huge commitment and under taking. The salt air destroys things so quickly. The owners work so hard to ensure that things are updated, repairs made, and if you have any issues, all you have to do is talk to the owner. The rooms are warm, comfortable, and have everything we need. The beds are very comfortable, the showers are wonderful with there double shower heads and we have never ran out of hot water! TV's are wall mounted with a great picture, furniture is comfortable and in great shape, the balcony's all have a spectacular view and you are a few steps from being on the beach. The Tradewinds Motel has it's own beach access. The rooms smell wonderful as no smoking is allowed in the rooms. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you to Neil and his staff for making our time here so very special and wonderful!"

"I’ve been visiting Neil at the Tradewinds for more years than I can even remember. Longer than 2 husbands and 3 children ;) through the years I’ve seen the improvements and the new ideas Neil has implemented. I always appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms and the availability of the small but very useful kitchenette. Beds are always changed and clean, I’ve never found the rooms to be uncomfortable or unclean. Wonderful views, friendly service, fair prices for beach front and I always feel safe here too!"

"Room was clean, looks right out over the beach. The kitchenette had good pans and utensils. Bed was firm but not too firm, extra blankets and pillows are available in the room. The shower was terrific, nice pressure. If you have a problem climbing stairs, request a 1st floor room,the stairs to the second floor are a little bit steep.Have stayed here before, and will stay again. Photos are from the balcony."

"Wonderful budget-friendly room with fantastic location and superior customer service by Neil and staff. Very kind to accommodate our work schedule. Beds were clean and comfortable. King room upstairs; kitchen needs supplied and the room had a fantastic view with expansive sunset. Some minor cosmetic flaws if you're particular, but for the price we were satisfied."

"Excellent place to stay! Clean room, steps to the beach and the owner is an amazing guy! We checked in late, right before closing and he gave me the key and said “go watch the sunset before you miss it, I’ll come find you”. We were traveling down the PCH. He gave us advice, told us the best places to stop and even came out to say goodbye when we left. If I’m ever in this area again I will definitely stay here! Wish more places were like this!"
