Dance and music education in Lawton, Oklahoma

Lawton Ballet Theatre, located in Lawton, Oklahoma, is proud to offer high-quality ballet training through the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum. Our program includes pointe technique for dancers aged 10 and up, tap dancing in classic and musical theatre styles, jazz dance including musical theatre, commercial, and African jazz, modern dance focusing on Horton and Graham technique, and lyrical dance combining elements of ballet, jazz, acrobatics, modern, and hip hop. In addition to dance classes, we offer acting, musical theatre, stage combat, stage makeup, and technical theatre courses to provide a well-rounded performing arts education. At Lawton Ballet Theatre, students have the opportunity to perform in two musicals each season, The Nutcracker every December, and a Spring Recital in May. Company dancers also compete in competitions and participate in community events. With year-round enrollment and flexible class schedules, there is always a chance to dance at LBT. Our experienced instructors, including ABT® Affiliate Teacher Katie Veenhuizen, are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential and instill a love for the arts.

Southstar Dance Academy, located at 216 Northwest Ferris Avenue in Lawton, Oklahoma, is a store institution dedicated to providing a technical and fun-focused learning experience in a safe environment for children ages 12 months to 18.
