Established in 1967, the institution serves the spiritual needs of the students, faculty, staff, and administration of Kent State University at Stark and Stark State College. It also acts as a bridge between the campus and local religious congregations and volunteer service organizations. Interfaith operates a preschool and child care center at John Knox Presbyterian Church, catering to approximately 100 children from six weeks to fifth grade.
