This park is part of the larger Heritage Park area, which also includes Farmer's Market, Belcher Park, Harmon Park, Riverwalk, Veteran's Memorial Park, Wapak Breakfast Optimist Soccer Park, and Rudd-Yocum Park. The Wapak Dog Park was originally an Eagle Scout Project led by Scout Travis Rohrbach, who designed and built the park to provide a friendly place for pets and citizens to enjoy. The park was moved to its current location in 2020 due to the expansion of the Water Reclamation plant, where it continues to serve the community as intended. Visitors can bring their furry friends to enjoy the open space, play areas, and socialize with other dogs in a safe and welcoming environment. This park is a wonderful addition to the Wapakoneta community and a great place to spend time outdoors with your beloved pets.
