Upper Grand River Metropark
β OpenWelcome to Upper Grand River Metropark, a serene natural sanctuary located at 3199 Cork Cold Springs Road, Austinburg, Ohio. Spanning 135 acres, this park is a testament to conservation and natural beauty, nestled along a picturesque bend in the Grand River. As a former youth and religious camp, once known as a Cleveland Camp Fire Girls Camp in the 1950s, the site has been thoughtfully transformed into a haven for wildlife and nature enthusiasts. Protected under a conservation easement with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy, Upper Grand River Metropark is subject to the guidelines of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources' Scenic Rivers Program. This ensures the preservation of its stunning landscapes and rich biodiversity. Thanks to funding from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Paddling Enhancement Grant and the Ohio Department of Transportation Biennium Fund Program, the park now boasts enhanced trails, public parking, and a river access trail, making it easier for visitors to immerse themselves in nature's splendor.
