A Cincinnati native and Fairfield High School graduate, Dr. Khaja pursued his medical education at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), followed by training in Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital, a Residency at the University of Cincinnati, and a Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Disease at Koch Eye Associates.

As a dedicated and board-certified infectious disease specialist, Dr. Fares is part of the esteemed TriHealth - Good Samaritan Infectious Disease - Thomas Comprehensive Care Center. With a passion for playing detective in the medical field, Dr. Fares excels at diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Dr. Fares brings a wealth of experience to Cincinnati, having previously served as division chief at a health system in Pennsylvania and as an assistant professor at Drexel University College of Medicine. His clinical focus includes joint and bone infections, central nervous system infections, and travel medicine. He is also committed to antibiotic stewardship, infection prevention, and providing infusion services.
