Since our establishment by the Paulding County Commissioners in 2003, we have been committed to acquiring, developing, and preserving parks and recreational areas for the enjoyment of the community.
Five Span Park [Paulding County Park District]
Welcome to Five Span Park, a treasured part of the Paulding County Park District, located at 19483 Ohio 637, Defiance, Ohio. Our mission is to create, enhance, and protect the natural and cultural resources of Paulding County while fostering respect and stewardship of these resources. We are committed to providing quality outdoor recreational opportunities for the citizens of Paulding County and surrounding areas. Established by the Paulding County Commissioners in 2003, the Park District began with 80 acres in Crane Township and has since expanded to encompass the entire county. In 2014, the Park District faced dissolution due to inactivity, but thanks to the dedication of community members like Linda Hodges, it was revitalized and reorganized in 2015. Today, our volunteer board works tirelessly to grow and maintain the park's assets, recognizing the essential role parks play in enhancing community life.
