He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology with the U.S. Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and Wright State University, and further honed his skills with a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at The Ohio State University. Dr. McKenna's distinguished career includes serving as an Associate Professor at Wright State University and working with Perinatal Partners. His dedication to advancing maternal-fetal health led him to establish the Advanced Fetal Therapy program at Miami Valley Hospital in 2010, where he now serves as the Medical Director of The Perinatal Intensive Care Unit. He is also a principal investigator for the Eunice Kennedy Shriver NICHD Maternal-Fetal Medicine Network, focusing on improving outcomes for pregnant women and premature infants.
