Put-in-Bay Resort Hotel

"Honest review I will make this brief. There is no room service unless requested. I did request, and no one showed up. Dirty sheets. Dirty towel basket. Bathroom Sink barely drains. Room next to elevator very noisy cant sleep. Stayed here 4 days and at the third day we get stopped by front desk we have to show our IDs to go to our room. They said we need wrist bands. Other than hotel, so many drunk people at put in bay so many fights. cops called probably every 10 minutes. Almost got ran over 3 times by drunk people driving golf carts."

"I highly recommend this resort. The owner and staff were AMAZING. We had an issue with our room (not the resort's fault)-the people in the room next to us fell asleep while in the shower and it remained running; this caused our room to flood. The owner and his staff move quickly to dry out our room and move us to a new room. I was very impressed with how the resort handled the the entire situation. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The pool and swim up bar were wonderful too. I would return to this resort."

"This place goes above and beyond!!!! I booked a room at two locations for a girls weekend this being one of the two locations. When we arrived I was able to get our group checked in ASAP. The staff was welcoming and polite even though the lobby was full of guests trying to check in at the same time. Our wait was like ten minutes max. I mean they were on top of it. The room was perfect! Clean, easily accessible , Fridge, AC, and updated. The showers are beautiful! They were able to accommodate a golf cart rental for the weekend. Here is where they went above and beyond. The second room I booked for our group was at the Grand Island Hotel. After getting our first group checked in here at the Put in Bay Resort & Conference Center I walked around to the other hotel to get checked in there. The Grand Island Hotel was awful, there was puke on the bed, no AC, when you walked in it smelled funny but once you got to the second floor it was horrific. See Grand Island Hotel Review for full details. LAST MINUTE SAME DAY I called Put in Bay Resort & Conference Center to see if there was any way they could help me get another room. I explained my situation. I was upset and so scared because it's an island It's not like you can just find a Hyatt/Marriott around the corner. The lady at the front desk who took my call was calm and understanding. She jumped on the opportunity to help me. She was able to find me a room and even offered to have me view the room before I book. I went to view the room and was treated with kindness and understanding. They even took my bags and locked them up so I could go view the room without having to carry them around. The last minute room was perfect but instead of price gouging me or trying to get as much out of a terrible situation as they could, they explained the original booking would be able to accommodate the extra guest or I could purchase the second room. We ended up just keeping the original booking. Our first night we enjoyed the pool and swim up bar so much fun! BUT THERE IS MORE I woke up around 6/7am and found the floor in our room was soaked. The neighboring room had flooded theirs causing water to get into our room. When I tell you they jumped to help it's an understatement. They had people come in clean, and took care of our wet clothing & luggage. They allowed us to keep accessing our room so we could shower and get ready for the day within a few hours. They had a new room ready for us so we would not have to walk around on wet carpet. They even treated the neighboring room that caused the flooding with respect. The owner made it a point to make sure we were ok. He even took the time to hear my horror story at the other resort. The team work & organization this facility has is outstanding. Throughout our stay the family of the owner, staff, even cleaning/maintenance would check in on us. It was a wonderful experience, and no matter the obstacle they made sure to do the best they could with nothing but kindness and hospitality. This will be the only place I stay when I come back to Put in Bay. Thank you all for your help, kindness, understanding & the BEST WEEKEND EVER!!!!!!!!!!!"

"We had a pretty good experience. Hard to find parking though, There was so many golf carts and cars everywhere. The pool was nice has a swim up bar and good bartenders. Prices were good. Can't wait to go back."

"The rooms were nice and the location was convenient. However, during our stay, someone was able to get into our room uninvited. My friend and I are both young girls in our 20’s and we were there by ourselves for a girls weekend. It was unidentifiable man that came into our room and then left after he realized we were there. After speaking with the hotel staff, who did nothing to resolve the situation, we ended up leaving our trip early because we did not feel safe. After contacting their HR or owner (Not sure if it’s a company owned or privately owned hotel) to address our concerns and ask if a refund was possible, they merely stated that they would talk to the management team and that refunds are never given no matter what reason a guest leaves early."
