Equipped with 16 beds and a trauma room, the facility is staffed with expertly trained pediatric emergency physicians, nurses, and medical imaging technicians who understand the unique needs of young patients. Children are not simply small adults, and Dayton Children's South Campus is dedicated to providing customized emergency care tailored to the specific needs of each child. In cases where a child requires more advanced care, the Mobile Intensive Care Unit can quickly transfer them to the main campus, which houses the region's only American College of Surgeons certified pediatric trauma center.
