The Kennard Nature Nook, located at 6800-7002 Mc Ewen Road in Ohio, United States, is a beautiful park and tourist attraction that offers a variety of indoor nature and recreation programs. Originally named the Nature Nook, it was renamed in honor of Carol Kennard, the former Executive Director of the Centerville-Washington Park District. Carol dedicated over thirty years to the park district, leading the organization and expanding program opportunities for the community. The Kennard Nature Nook is available for weekday reservations by non-profit service groups based in Centerville or Washington Township that benefit the community. Group size and parking are limited, and reservation requests must coincide with the program calendar published in the Park District's News and Events. A $100 refundable deposit is required at the time of rental, and renters are responsible for clean up and trash collection after the event.
Hatches Corners Metropark---- Ashtabula County Metroparks
Hatches Corners Metropark, located in Ashtabula County, Ohio, is a beautiful park and tourist attraction with limited resources and a portable restroom. The park features two parking areas, with the main parking lot located at 5467 Center Road in Monroe Township. An additional parking lot has been added at 5558 Hatches Corners Road for access to the northern portion of the property. Funded by the Ashtabula Civic Development Corporation, the park includes a north parking lot, wood-chip trail, kiosk, and boardwalk crossings. The property, acquired with grant funds in 2007, spans 202 acres and includes frontage along the Bear Creek tributary to Conneaut Creek, riparian wetlands, wooded uplands, and a meadow area. The park is home to many Ohio listed plants and offers primitive trails for hiking, birding, and horseback riding.

Pleasant Township Park
Pleasant Township Park, located in Marion, Ohio, United States, was once farmland owned by the Seiter Family since the late 1800s. The township purchased a 27-acre parcel of this land in 1999, with 19 acres designated for the park and the rest for future development. With the help of a NatureWorks grant from ODNR, Phase 1 of park development began in 2004, including an entrance drive, parking lot, trees, shelter house, and trails. In 2004, an additional 20 acres of Seiter farmland was purchased, with a wetland and prairie complex and a windmill installed. Funding from the Ohio Public Works Commission Clean Ohio Conservation Fund helped with this project. In 2006, a third parcel of 12 acres was purchased, with funding from ODNR NatureWorks and Land and Water Conservation Fund. Phase 3 involved converting part of this parcel into grassland habitat. The park now offers approximately 60 acres of preserved green space for the enjoyment of current and future generations.
