Hatches Corners Metropark, located in Ashtabula County, Ohio, is a beautiful park and tourist attraction with limited resources and a portable restroom. The park features two parking areas, with the main parking lot located at 5467 Center Road in Monroe Township. An additional parking lot has been added at 5558 Hatches Corners Road for access to the northern portion of the property. Funded by the Ashtabula Civic Development Corporation, the park includes a north parking lot, wood-chip trail, kiosk, and boardwalk crossings. The property, acquired with grant funds in 2007, spans 202 acres and includes frontage along the Bear Creek tributary to Conneaut Creek, riparian wetlands, wooded uplands, and a meadow area. The park is home to many Ohio listed plants and offers primitive trails for hiking, birding, and horseback riding.
