The Eversholt Swimming Pool
“Lovely pool, lovely location, lovely staff...easy parking. my children attended a party there it was gorgeous! We had a great time!”
Adventurer's Village Milton Keynes
“Totally dinky! Needed a place for an overnight in January and all the anonymous hotels were either full or silly prices so booked a small cabin here with no expectations. To be told at reception my room was through the dinosaurworld and into the wild west was an absolute hoot. Cabin itself was an essay in fitting everything into a tiny space but everything was there, clean and warm and such fun. Probably wouldn't stay there in full tourist season but for winter why stay in a chain hotel when it is like going into Westworld here? Although I didn't get to see Yul Brunner coming for me I did get a good morning from about six staff and the reception teams were equally friendly. Altogether the whole experience was such fun.”
Middleton Pool and Fitness Centre
“I work as a lifeguard here and I can honestly say that it is one of the best pools I've been to. The staff are lovely, the centre is clean and there are really handy arrangements for this got weather that we are getting, including a fully air-conditioned room that is free to use with a member of staff's permission, and a free water tap by poolside. I totally recommend to anyone !”
Mosaic Swimming Pools & Spas Ltd
“From design to completion - Steve and Rose were nothing short of fantastic. Highly recommended!”
Love Open Water Milton Keynes
“I am not a super fast swimmer but I really love swimming at sunrise. Often being the only swimmer on the lake. Your ripples and bubbles disturbing the mirror like stillness. Any worries or problems in my life dissipate in my wake. The course is set by large buoys and approx 450m, so you can do many circuits, checking out the swans and herons as you glide through the water. Yes there is a small amount of pond weed that you occasionally brush into and the lake is reasonably shallow with the softest of mud underfoot but this is the joy of open water swimming. Willen Lake offers a fantastic location. I am hooked so much I have bought a reasonably priced wetsuit in anticipation of cool waters.”
Aqua Parcs
“Fantastic day out, staff are really helpful and the whole checking in process is smooth and easy. Bring your own small bore padlock (40mm pin) if you have one or get a combination one for fiver. All the kit they provide is top notch, beach shoes are good addition unless you are prepared to to let your feet go from under you with comedic effects every time. Time in the each area is just enough, a giant Inflatable bag for sending friends or family skywards would be a great addition if the depth of the water would allow it. Parking if the main parking is busting then park at pagoda Park. £4 for five hours is adequate enough, there is a two hour park option but it would not cover it and best to be safe side. It's only down the road and is a 15 minute walk via the underpass.”
Olney Recreation Ground
“Loved it here.. everyone was respectful and polite. No problems even slightly.. police were walking around alot making sure people didn't have tooooo much fun.. no alcohol is allowed but nothing stopping you from wacking it in a different container so it isn't obvious. Just don't go mad. There is a couple of swings off the trees so the kids could bomb into the water. Someone had a big speaker which was genuissssss so it was a vibe. No life guards so make sure your super safe and your kids are strong swimmers because there are some strong currents at some parts of the river which even I found hard to fight against. Otherwise loved ittttttt”
Ousebank Gardens
“Peaceful going through the churchyard, the gardens are lovely, steps going down to the river, and space for picnics.”
Campbell Park
“Wowsers... what a beautiful park. We strolled through past the sheep, a visit to the light pyramid, over to the memorial area, down by the water, and down near the canal. We found it odd that there wasn't many people about, but that just made it a bit nicer to be honest. The kids enjoyed floating leaves down the water gulley, and the only thing they missed (from a kids perspective) was a play ground - but to be honest, sort of glad there wasn't one!! Nice touch that they had some different art sculpture things dotted about.”
Stanton Low Country Park
“Excellent for walking the dogs. Beautiful sunsets - Very peaceful! Definitely recommend”
Great Linford Manor Park (The Parks Trust)
“Beautiful place to take a stroll or read a book. Plenty of places to sit and be in the moment.”
Treetop Extreme
“We’ve been twice now and my daughters absolutely love it! They did the middle run the first time and then the high trail next. The staff are all great and we highly recommend a visit!”
Cosgrove Park
“Hard to give a fair assessment as we only stayed a short while. Many mobile homes on display of various sizes and styles. Prices seemed to range from £35k to over £70k. Shop was clean and tidy and well staffed. We did not go into the residential area hence inability to comment. What we saw was in excellent state.”
Willen Lake
“I really like this place a lot. Great place for lots of activities. You could come alone with friends or family there will always something to do here from water sports to walking around or some running and fitness in general by yourself or with others. This place is just wonderful can't have enough.”
Willen Lake Maze
“I bring my problems to the maze think about them as I walk to the centre and let them go at the tree and relese lhem as I walk the maze back, its a great place meditation just focus on the next step. Takes about 45 mins to walk in and out at a slow pace.”
Emberton Country Park
“Beautiful place to walk with dogs, kids or can drive around. Lots of play parks and a dog friendly cafe. Only £2 to get in.”
Waterhall Park
“A really nice park - quiet but well maintained. Can either walk through the park or along the canal. There's a line of trees that stretch through it that are amazing, not really seen trees like them before in the UK.”
Stonepit Field (Great Linford)
“Beautiful field with some big rocks in our art first glance but if you read the story behind it on the boards placed songs the lake its got some history to it... I won't ruin it for you and tell you the story but the kids loved playing on and climbing the rocks. Natural beauty and not very busy at all... Be prepared for a bit of a walk to get there though!”
Wolverton Swimming and Fitness Centre
“Kis pool is great, that's what we go for. Haven't used other amenities. Changing rooms are generally clean and tidy. Big family rooms, plenty of lockers. Very reasonably priced for swimming.”
Broughton Linear Park
“So much fun when it snows! Enough for a small snow man, beautiful in summer, big play area for kids, little hill for snow sledging and big enough to walk around for a while or look at the ducks on the pond :)”
South Loughton Valley Park
“As a disabled angler I find Teardrops a great place to fish. Car parking, good paths, well kept swims and platforms”
Woburn Lido
“Love it here! Lovely place for an outside swim, particularly during this hot weather. The early morning sessions at 6.30am have been perfect for getting a swim in before work, thank you to the lifeguard who has taken on this early shift! I'm not a particularly fast or strong swimmer but this doesn't matter, there is a fast lane and a slow lane and the vibe is very friendly and relaxed with no pressure to keep up with everyone else. Online booking is really easy to use. One of the upsides of the pandemic restrictions is that there is limited capacity in each session so plenty of space.”
Mount Farm Park
“It says here "you visited one week ago' although I've never been there. I probably stopped in front if it to adjust the mixture on my bike: it was running a bit heavy, backfiring n all that. My bro said to change the candles but I knew they were OK. A bit of a turn on the old mixture screw sorted it. Anyway. Park Farm Mount is probably great. Go deh!”
Gulliver's Land Theme Park Resort
“An amazing visit for kiddies & grown-ups. There's animated dinosaurs, a boat-trip, a farm (with real animals), plus Amusement Park at another seperate entrance. Food is cooked fresh & ice-creams are delicious. My 4 yr old Grandson thoroughly enjoyed the dinosaurs, but didn't like the "insects section". The staff are extremely friendly & helpful too. We will go again”
Gullivers Dinosaur & Farm Park
“I took my niece who had a lovely day. The manager there her name she said was Tara was amazing. She has a good chat with me about the animals and was very helpful. A very welcoming place and ideal for children”
