Additionally, visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, and trail hiking in the area. Campsites must be reserved by calling 919-560-4355, ext. 27202, and permits must be purchased by Tuesday at 5 p.m. for the remainder of the work week and weekend. To reach the campgrounds, take Roxboro Road North (Rte 501) for approximately 12 miles, then turn right onto Bahama Road. After 2.5 miles, take a left at the “Spruce Pine Lodge” sign for the Spruce Pine Lodge campsites or take a right at Archery Range Road for the Holly Grove campsite.
