"Pictures online on Google Maps, their web page, Facebook page are not what we got! Saw posts of new flooring. With new looking kitchen, we booked this non chain to support small business. Early November, filled out email survey after we left saying this is leading to misrepresentation. No response from mgmt as of December. So, posting this review for others to know. See our pics and decide for yourself!! Room 209. Zoom in on carabiners above hanging light. Not sure if that is to code. Carpet made socks dirty. Peeling paint, popcorn ceiling off in places. Floor worn, opposite of their posts. Only toilet paper in room was what was hanging. Had to ask front desk for more. If some rooms are NOT updated yet, consumers need to know. It should be mentioned on their website, Facebook page."

"Lovely little motel. Older place but the interior rooms are very nice and renovated. Lots of clean towels. Steps from the ocean and the pier. Was not there long enough to really rank the service but the woman at the front desk was very kind. I would definitely stay here again. The only reason I wouldn't give it a full five stars is not the fault of the establishment: I wish there were more/larger parking spaces for large vehicles. As it is, you're fine in an average car but a tall and wide van like mine struggles to find a spot. But I would 100 percent stay here again."

"My daughter and a friend and I stayed here and I was very upset. I had bragged about what a great place to stay. We were put in a room that we found out had not been cleaned. My daughter cleaned the room the first day . We asked everyday for the room to be cleaned and it did not happen. The day before we left they cleaned it. The kitchen was not supplied with everything we needed so we had to buy things. It was not the same as it was in the past. Don't think I will ever stay here again."

"Due to an unforeseen emergency we needed to make a cancellation for two nights that had been paid for. We were planning a quick trip to the beach prior to my son in laws heart surgery at Duke University. Due to complications the heart surgeon said he needed to be there as soon as possible so the trip needed to be cancelled. I asked —then BEGGED management for a refund and finally was offered only a partial refund. I explained everything in detail. Then my daughter called and was told the same thing. In situations like this it seems like policy could be adverted and refunds given. There will now be multiple stays in a hotel near Duke and they could really use that money. I only have one word - heartless. I am disappointed that the manger at the Admirals Quarters could be like this - making a difficult time for a customer even more difficult."

"My family and I had a wonderful stay and will most certainly be back. Courteous staff, clean room and grounds and the BEST LOCATION, walking distance to the pier and several restaurants. Not a fancy room, but it was clean and perfect for us - our main goal was to be on the beach and at the pool as often as possible. The room was very comfortable when we were in it. The pool area was clean with plenty of tables and lounge chairs. It was everything that we hoped for. We can’t wait to return!"
