"My doctor retired and I had to find somewhere to go that would take over managing my medications and they got me Rite in and she was soo nice and professional, it felt like family, not like a stranger especially with personal information. I would recommend this facility to anyone who asked."
"I absolutely love Dr. Barry Niel William, MD and Dr. Marjorie Gay Sales. Other than his habits of being late. He has been my doctor now for 6 years. He actually was the first doctor who gave me a reason to quit smoking weed. I had been trying to kick that habit for many years. Unlike other doctor's whom threaten to kick me out the program. Wow thats very helpful. Thanks Dr. Williams and Dr. Marjorie."
"I have personally been in recovery for seven plus years, opiate use, to be specific. I began my recovery via emergency room patient due to finding out I was pregnant and needed immediate help. I met Dr. Barry Williams once admitted and began my treatment there in-patient. He continued my treatment once released at a downtown facility for nearly two years. It was there I met Margie Sells, current NP at FBH, while she was in training to work in mental health along with her extensive RN experience. I choose to leave that facility due to physical move. The next several years were a roller coaster of treatment that nearly costed me my sobriety. I attended five programs in less than two years across half the state in search of medical staff with experience and current knowledge of my condition and to be treated as any other human patient. I must say that I have seen animals at the vet be treated with more respect and care. Thank GOD I have been back with the greatest in the field across NC and maybe further in my opinion. Dr. Barry William and Margie Sells. Of course no medical office can run without a nurse. Beth who works alongside Sells is amazing. She goes the extra mile in advance to prepare for the day of your visit. Beth also has extensive experience and it shows in the job she does. Its also a great benefit to have office staff that you can actually work with and gets things done. I can not speak for all office staff but front office, Holly is wonderful. She is always consistent, informed, and polite to everyone. This specialized service more often that not requires prior approvals with insurance for everything from office appointments and lab work to counsel and medications, etc. Holly working alongside other staff will insure you are up to date. I will recommend Family Behavioral Health to anyone looking for true recovery. They are up to date and offer the highest level of recovery science available to date. My personal opinion is based upon my own recovery experience received here versus other providers, and as a future professional in the field. I am currently a student studying to become a mental health counselor, and I owe a huge part of my inspiration to Margie."
"Anyone thinking of going here please consider my experience and realize theyre are way better care and cost options for treatment in the area. Let's start with how cash hungry this business is. Unlike any other psychological treatment, this one requires you to attend a $75 group meeting weekly, at these meetings they talk nothing about the reason you are there and more so just babble on for well over an hour about anything to fill the time, never did I leave a group meeting feeling better or inspired. It is a spit in the face of their customers and the most obvious cash grab I've ever experienced. I mean they charge you $70 to even "schedule" your first appointment. Next I'll mention how they bill your insurance and you at the same time double charging and getting away with it. After speaking with my insurance HR I was informed my insurance should cover the group sessions at $75 and I should only have to pay a $25 co-pay for the 15 minute doctor visits. The office manager verified this, informed me my insurance was correct but because they are so cash hungry and already get away with it with all their other ppatients, they informed me I would still have to pay $75 a week for useless group meetings with no reasoning since my insurance informed them that they would pay for the meetings, the office refused, again only caring about more and more money and never the patients best interest. I was paying upwards of $200 every week while I had letters from my insurance quoting I should have been paying no more than $25 every two weeks. They also make you take a urine AND a blood test once EVERY week. If you do not have insurance you have to pay $75 for the group meetings plus another $60 for every drug test! I felt so sorry for many other patients whose whole paychecks were going to this business which should be shut down due to price gouging and double charging patients and their insurances. Whether you ate a patient of Family Behavioral Health now or are thinking or starting treatment, there are so many better options right up the street who are not just here to charge you again and again until you have no idea what you are even paying for anymore. One week I would pay a balance I would owe of $180 (who knows where that came from considering my insurance said I should only be paying $25 bi-weekly) only to hear I owed $180 AGAIN the very next week. How they could completely ignore my insurance benefits and continue to we'll overcharge me was my breaking point with this business and it's foul pratices. Patients are always having unforseen problems at the office window and after speaking with many of them they feel stuck in this office of cash cows. Lastly I want to again mention the many other treatment providers in the area. Where you only have to go once monthly and not weekly. And who will actually honor your insurance agreements. Businesses that actually care about the patient and not just how to sneak more cash out of their patients wallets. Behavioral family health should be reported to the board for their charging practices and failure to comply with insurance benefits that they accept. Avoid this business at all costs, again much better treatment is very close by. Save your wallets, save your time, and save your dignity by avoiding this business."
