"We lived here for about a year and a half. The location is fantastic. You are close to the University and there are several good restaurants within walking distance. However, the building is not currently very well managed. If you have an issue and attempt to elevate to upper management, you might not even get a response. Actually, when we did elevate the issue, we were told "I have informed management, but you likely won't hear from them." This is very frustrating. This is an expensive property and the lease payments are not cheap. If the local representative is not able to resolve issues, or if there is a greater concern, you should be able to talk to someone at a higher level. Unfortunately, it does not appear that management listens to their residents. It is also worth noting that we needed to terminate our lease early, as we were building a new house. We believe we were mislead in our options and guided to a decision that kept us locked in our lease longer. We have requested a call from management related to this concern. However, management still has not return our calls."

"The living experience at East 54th was spectacular. The units are gorgeous and beautifully maintained. Even though they are rentals, residents have the luxury experience of expensive condos. Plus, the location is prime in Chapel Hill, close to everything you could possibly need. Mike-who takes great pride in his work, keeps the building looking impeccable. Plus, Mark, the property manager is special at what he does. He is customer service first mentality. Mark embodies the spirit of helping people and making sure your rental experience is great. I would recommend highly for a family, couple or student renting at East 54...It's the best luxury experience one could have."
