"We were called regarding scheduling an appt for our pre-k son after a referral from our pediatrician. They told us they couldn’t schedule an appointment at that time. Then they called back a few days later and scheduled an appointment. A video appointment. For a 4 year old. Then they cancelled it two days before the appointment. The provider sent us an email so we could pick a new appointment from her schedule. We will be notifying our pediatrician this is not an appropriate option for a referral."
"Thriveworks is a great resource for people who are new to learning life skills and beginning their journey on taking responsibility for the mental health. It is not good resource for people who are further down the road and have already spent a bit of time on self care. I have tried several counselor between Thriveworks and other online resources. And I have spent quite a bit of money meeting new counselors. There might be some great ones in there somewhere, but in general these are individuals who are skilled in one modality of counseling and pretty green. One thing that would make Thriveworks a better value is to have a short, free intro conversation to see if there was a fit. As it is now, you might spend $200 to meet the counselor."
