"They usually have most of the items I need for my home/yard/garden. Have found that most of the staff don't really have any real-life experience with tools, garden items or other, so not very helpful if you have questions. Luckily, I can read the directions or details on the side of the box or container. I use self-checkout most of the time for ease of getting in and out in a timely fashion."

"Customer Service Desk rating only. I had one hell of a time returning pavers that were leftover from a job I'd finished. Not because of any other reason than the folks at the customer service desk had little to no idea of how to process the refund. I can understand having trouble at work getting something done when the computer systems aren't making sense, but they were giving me such unprofessional attitude, commentary and service that the person in line behind me finally said something about how unnecessary it was. Thank god for Luwanda (sp?), the store manager, coming over to fix the problem in less than 5 minutes. But too bad I had to sit there and endure the terrible customer service for almost 40 minutes first... and from someone wearing a badge that said they've been there 22 years! I still love Home Depot, but the customer service desk at this store is flat out bad."

"Stay away from Special-Orders. Multi-month ordeal that left me with an unusable door and out of pocket expenses. I sat down with the in-store designer to purchase a 60x80 French door and matching storm doors. Took delivery of the doors and started installing the French door system. When I completed the install of the French door and moved on to the storm doors, I realized there was an issue. The French door was 3 inches shorter and narrower than the storm doors I had ordered, in the same design session, so the storm doors wouldn't fit in the opening of the French door. I returned to Home Depot to discuss options with the designer and was given the option to purchase a new French door that had explicit measurements called out to fit the special-order storm doors. I couldn’t return the original French door at that point because it was needed to maintain the integrity of our home. I was assured that I would be able to return the door once the new one came in and the install was confirmed. I purchased the new door, picked it up, even with some shipping damage, installed it and the storm doors without further issue. When I returned to the store to return the original door, I was told that it could not be returned because it had been installed. I pointed out that not only did the door not match the design criteria provided at the initial sale it did not fit with the storm doors purchased at the same time even when I was assured that this would not be an issue when I bought the 2nd door. Poor service and loyalty toward customers for a store who supposedly “Helps Doers Get More Done.”"

"This is the first time I've been to this home Depot in Garner. I actually like it very much. I found exactly what I needed. It was on aisle 20 bay 6. I forgot to take my pick up but I took my small car instead. Otherwise I would have bought me some more lumber for my deck. I'm going to have to go back again today"
