"First time here for date night. Extensive menu options and we went with one of the fresh catches (grilled swordfish with mango salsa, risotto and asparagus) and Saltimbocca (grilled mahi over sautéed spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, goat cheese and a balsamic glaze). Both dishes very good. The Saltimbocca was meatier where the swordfish was lighter and flakier. We shared a crème brûlée and each had a couple cocktails that were delicious. A little on the pricey side but worth it if going once in a while. Ambience was family friendly. Seemed kind of like a cafe or diner style."

"Absolutely loved the place! It was all of our first time in and there wasn't an unhappy face around. It was a dual birthday for me and a friend and we were well taken care of. Quote from around the table after the meal... "this is my new favorite place" "this is where I want to go from mother's day" "I'm Absolutely stuffed" If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. "Love this location! It’s beautiful inside. The service was superb. My husband had an issue with his order (there was a hair in it, but it honestly could have been mine), and the server and manager were so kind about it and handled it very well. The manager brought a new scampi and took it off or our bill. Everyone is very nice and great service! Very good food, too!"

"First time at Cape Fear Seafood. The inside is set up nice. We sat at the bar for faster service, but the restaurant itself has nice feel to it. My wife had the fried clam platter ($11.99)which was very fresh and delicious. Just what she was hoping for. I had the fish tacos (normally $13.99) but I had them made with the fresh catch (Mahi) so it was bumped up to $16.99. Probably not worth the extra price. They were good, just not what I expected. The salad that came along with the tacos was excellent.. as good as one I would make at home. Very fresh and a great spicy thousand island dressing. I would stick with the baskets. I think it’s the best deal as the menu gets pricy. We will be back for sure. I definitely recommend Cape Fear."

"Average food at a premium price. We came here with a group of 6 for a birthday. Overall, the food was okay. We all got different dishes. The drinks took an excessively long time to come from the bar. The drinks were not balanced, and the old fashioned was not good at all (not to mention it is $14). My fiancé got the espresso brownie sundae, and it was just butter and liquid when it got to the table. There were also a lot of flies inside this place, and that was incredibly annoying while trying to eat. They do nothing special for birthdays. They asked when I made the reservation, and I told them the occasion. No staff member even mentioned it so why even ask? I had high hopes for this place, but at the price point they want, it needs a lot of improvement to be worth it. 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and one dessert cost $90 before the tip. Not worth it."
