Joshua Vega
Joshua Vega is a board-certified non-invasive cardiologist located at WakeMed Heart Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dr. Vega specializes in the management of various heart conditions including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiac arrhythmia, and congestive heart failure. He also focuses on the medical management of vascular disease. Dr. Vega is bilingual in English and Spanish and has a clinical interest in addressing health disparities. He received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Vega also completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology, and is a registered physician in vascular interpretation. Dr. Vega is dedicated to providing personalized care to his patients, utilizing a biopsychosocial model to consider all factors that contribute to a patient's illness and outcome.
